Have a trustworthy horse between your stirrups,
A faithful dog at your feet,
Friends to share your dreams with,
And a quiet breath to take in all of Gods' blessings.

My goal is to see every rider traveling on their own "dream" horse. Trying to make the most perfect match for horse and rider.

To achieve this goal I arrange the meeting between "buyer" and "seller".

For my time and profound ability to make this match ( Big Grin) I charge a $100 fee.  This fee is paid by the horse seller. If you refer a buyer or a seller to me and a sale is made I'll pay you $25.

To make it all even more fun website listings are FREE!

Now you know one of the differences between a "hoofpicker" and a horse dealer.

When I am an old Horsewoman

I shall wear turquoise and diamonds, and a straw
hat that doesn't suit me.
And I shall spend my social security on red wine
and carrots,
And sit in the alley-way of my barn
And listen to my horses breathe.
I will sneak out in the middle of a summer night,
And ride the old bay gelding,
Across the moonstruck meadow
If my old bones will allow.

And when people come to call,
I will smile and nod as I walk past the
gardens to the barn
and show instead the flowers growing inside -
stalls fresh-lined with straw.
I will shovel and sweat and wear hay in my hair as
if it were jewels.
And I will be an embarrassment to all,
Who will not yet have found the peace in being
free to have a horse as a best friend,
A friend who waits at midnight hour
With muzzle and nicker and patient eyes.
For the kind of woman I will be

When I am old.

Disposition first, walk second, color third.  That's my priorities.   If I had a walking fool that I couldn't trust, either in hand or under saddle, I would sell that sucker in a heart beat.   I can walk up to any of my horses anywhere, wrap a lead around their neck and take them where I want.  They do pass disposition on to their offspring.  All of my mares will let you do anything you want with their babies.
Color is just the icing on the cake.  If you have disposition and gait, and can wow people with color too, why not?   Jean Obrist TN
